For Love or For Money

Girls they will come,
And girls they will go,
Some really love you,
And some love the dough…

Be careful my boy,
As you let yourself go,
Before you fall in love,
The girl, you must well know…

And if the girl, you fail to know,
A day would come, not very far though,
She’ll use you, abuse you,
Till your pockets are bare,
You’d begin to wonder, if she really did care…

Your wallets are emptied,
Your heart even so…
And you can do nothing,
As she walks past that door…

It is then you will wonder,
As you stand there and stare,
That in love and in war…
Some things, just ain’t fair!!!

The song of a caged bird

I wish I’d be free,
And roam in the trees,
And sing my sweet song,
All day long.

And fly without rage,
Out of this cage,
And explore this world,
Where I’ll learn to be bold.

Oh! The cage where I live is very small,
It has no place for my tail, so tall,
Although I’m harmed, I somehow keep calm,
And live my life with its whims and whams.

I await the day,
When I shall be free,
And through the green leaves,
I shall spin and spree.

I hope that the day comes very soon,
When I shall be saved from this big doom!!!

What I want to be

Once an angel came to me,
And asked me what I wished to be,
A doctor, a nurse, the list went on…,
But none of them I could choose from.

The little angel began to sweat,
And asked me, “Would you be a Vet?”
“Yes”, I said, “That’s right for me!”
For that’s what I always wanted to be.

To cure the animals, pale and sick,
Who sometimes people beat with a stick.
I’d love to give them a helping hand,
No matter if they’re good or bad.
For God’s creation they are too,
And they ought to live like me and you!

The angel in all her happiness,
Said, “They might get you into a mess.”
For being a Vet is always alright,
Until you learn to take a bite.

I began to wonder with all my glee,
Is it a Vet, I really want to be?

Smile

A smile, a simple gesture though,
Can take you through both high and low,
Can wash your tears and make you grow,
And make you love life even more.

Though days may come and days may go,
One thing we should always know,
That when we smile, a seed we sow,
Whose harvest, we reap evermore.

Though life may seem to reach its brim,
And the lights around may seem too dim,
Whatever you loose, will seem a win,
When you have that little- happy grin!!!

Though troubles always take their time,
And difficulties they may pile,
Always remember, all the while,
You can always walk that extra mile,
With that simple gesture called – “A Smile”

One-Night Stand

Sweetness in pain,
Nothing could ever explain,
When you held me, you touched me,
That feeling…so insane!!!

The first time we kissed,
Nothing but pure bliss…
So warm, your touch,
To see you again, I longed so much…

Your caring arms,
Your loving stares,
A feeling that I finally found,
A man who really cares…

Under these satin sheets,
We made sweet love,
And as our bodies meet,
That feeling...so complete!!!

Such was our love,
As if sent from above,
Surpassing all feelings,
The ultimate love…

But all said and done, you want me no more,
You said it all, as you walked past that door,
“Goodbye...goodbye!!! I think we are done,
To me it meant nothing…just some plain dirty fun!!!”

Once bitten, twice shy

Once bitten, twice shy,
I have loved once,
Never again…
Will tell you why…

I once loved this boy,
So very much…
So much,
Infact, a little too much!!!

I gave him my all,
My body, my soul,
I gave until,
I felt as empty as a hole…

Little did he know,
That I loved him so much,
Came that one fateful day,
He completely ran out of touch…

Came winter, came fall,
No message, no call…
Came sun, came rain,
Left me only torment, only pain…

It was then, I decided,
I made up my mind,
And I asked to myself,
“Why? Oh!!! Why?”

And as I lay on my pillow,
A tear in my eye,
I said to myself, “Never will I love again,
Once bitten, twice shy.”
